Palmetto Audiology and Speech Therapy is a private practice Audiology office specializing in diagnosis and treatment of Hearing Loss, Speech and Language Disorders and Fluency Disorders. All insurances, including Medicare, are accepted. A variety of augmentative, communication tools are available through our Doctor of Audiology, Kristen Bish. Amplified telephones, cordless "TV ears", and custom made Bluetooth and iPod ear tips, amplified smoke alarms and signaling devices are just a few. We take part in the South Carolina TEDP program providing free amplified telephones to every patient with hearing loss. We specialize in dispensing top of the line as well as economy-level hearing aids. Our hearing aid program includes a 60-day 100% risk-free evaluation period to ensure the patient is fit correctly and successfully. We welcome challenging cases that were previously fit unsuccessfully with hearing devices. Dr. Bish also specializes in the diagnosis of Auditory Processing Disorders. She will be working closely with the Dorchester II Schools again this year as their contractual Audiologist. We are currently accepting referrals for new patients. Dr. Kristen Bish

Dr. Kristen Bish is a board-certified Doctor of Audiology.  She received her Masters degree in Audiology in 1998 from the University of Buffalo.  After practicing for five years, she continued her education and received her AuD. degree in 2005.  She had been practicing in a small, private practice in Mount Pleasant for four years prior to opening Palmetto Audiology & Speech Therapy in 2006.  Prior to her work in Mount Pleasant, she practiced in a large Otolaryngology office in North Charleston and at Children’s Hospital in Buffalo, NY.  Outside the office, Dr. Bish enjoys spending time with her husband, Darin and two children, Brianna (13),  Connor (8), and Katherine (6 months) .


Hollie Bahen
MS, CCC-A

Hollie is a board certified Audiologist. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Speech Pathology from Texas Christian University in 1988 and her Master’s degree in Audiology from the University of Washington in 1991.  She practiced Audiology for 10 years in the Seattle area in a multi-physician Otolaryngology practice as well as a private audiology clinic.  Hollie has also worked in the hearing aid industry as a sales representative for a major hearing aid manufacturer.  In 2002 she and her family moved from the Pacific Northwest to Fort Mill, South Carolina and then relocated to Summerville in 2004.  She enjoys spending time with her family, husband Marty, and 2 children, Jack (12) and Keely (9). 

 


Brittney Farrell
CCC-SLP

Brittney is a licensed and ASHA certified speech-language pathologist.  She has worked in a variety of settings including skilled nursing facilities, outpatient clinics, acute care settings and head start facilities.  Brittney received her B.S. and M.S. in communication sciences and disorders from Clarion University of Pennsylvania.  She is a member of the American Speech Language Hearing Association, is LSVT Loud certified and is proficient in the programming and use of Dynavox V Max Systems..  Brittney and her husband Chris enjoy traveling, camping, hiking and chasing their three dogs.


Betsy Hall
CCC-SLP

Betsy is a licensed and certified Speech-Language Pathologist. She has worked in the public schools, Head Start centers, private practice, and hospital settings, with an emphasis on rehabilitation following stroke and head injury.

Betsy received her B.A. in Speech Correction from Columbia College and her Masters in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of South Carolina. She is a member of The American Speech-Language Hearing Association, South Carolina Speech and Hearing Association, and is certified in Vital-Stimulation.

She is the proud mother of two children, enjoys working with all age-groups, and has a special interest in adult swallowing disorders.


Nora Jarvis
MS, CCC-SLP

Nora is a licensed and ASHA certified speech-language pathologist. She received her Bachelor’s degree at SUNY Cortland in NY and her Master’s at the University of Rhode Island. Since then, she has been working with both pediatrics and adults in inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation settings. She has a special interest in neurological disorders. She recently moved to Isle of Palms, SC where she lives with her fiancée, Ryan, and their two dogs.


Kimberly Zeigler HTP0815

Kim hails from a small town outside of Gettysburg, PA.  She has been in the medical industry for 18 years with 8 of those years being in the Audiology field.  Currently, Kim is studying to become a Hearing Aid Specialist and holds a temporary permit with the state of South Carolina.   During her free time, Kim enjoys spending time with her husband Tim, and 3 children, Blake(12), Barrett(6) and Annabel(4).
